Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in English (M.A. English) or a related discipline such as Comparative Literature, Linguistics, or Cultural Studies, with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
Admission is based on UGC-NET, SET, or university-level entrance tests, followed by an interview. Applicants must submit a research proposal aligned with English studies and may be asked to defend it during the viva. Candidates with research experience or published work receive preference.
