Amity University Noida, officially known as Amity University Uttar Pradesh, is one of India’s most reputed private institutions, established in 2005 through an Act of the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE, the university is accredited with an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC for its commitment to academic excellence and quality education. It is also recognised by national and international bodies such as AIU, ACU, BCI, NCTE, IET, and the Ministry of HRD, along with certifications from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and ISO standards.

Amity has expanded its presence with nine universities across India and 14 international campuses, alongside 13 B-Schools and 26 schools and pre-schools. Amity University Noida offers top-tier professional courses, with B.Tech and MBA being its most sought-after programs. The total fee for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is around INR 16.72 lakhs, while the MBA program costs approximately INR 15.8 lakhs. Other undergraduate programs range from INR 70,000 to INR 16.72 lakhs, excluding hostel and mess charges. The university provides accommodation for around 15,000 students, with Non-AC rooms priced near INR 1 lakh per year and AC rooms ranging between INR 1.85 and 2.04 lakhs annually.

Admissions are primarily merit-based, with consideration for national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CAT, MAT, GMAT, CLAT, and GATE, depending on the program. Amity’s placement record remains impressive, with the highest package reaching INR 35.9 LPA for B.Tech and INR 26.3 LPA for MBA, while the average packages are INR 9.6 LPA and INR 7.35 LPA, respectively.

Other popular programs like MBBS, BA LLB, and Law courses accept entrance exams such as NEET UG, CLAT, or the Amity Law Entrance Test. Apart from entrance-based entries, candidates with over 80% marks in Class 12 are granted direct admission into undergraduate courses, while Amity alumni receive preference for postgraduate admissions.

The university offers over 400 programs across major streams including Engineering, Management, Law, Architecture, Commerce, Humanities, Design, Medicine, and Pharmacy. In addition to its full-time courses, Amity also provides flexible learning options through its Online and Distance Learning platforms. The application window generally opens from January to September each academic year.

Amity University categorizes its applicants as Sponsored and Non-Sponsored candidates. Sponsored students, with comparatively lower merit scores, are admitted under a higher fee structure, while Non-Sponsored students meet higher cut-off criteria and pay standard fees. This dual system maintains academic quality while supporting broader accessibility.
