About Us

The ICFAI University Sikkim is a respected institution known for its commitment to academic excellence, professional ethics, and skill based education. Established under Section 4(2) of the ICFAI University Sikkim Act 2004 and notified by the Government of Sikkim, the university is fully recognised under Section 2(f) and empowered to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act. With memberships in the Association of Indian Universities in New Delhi, the Association of Commonwealth Universities in the UK, and ECOSOC, the university holds a strong presence in the national and international academic community.

Approved by the Bar Council of India and offering AICTE approved programs, ICFAI Sikkim provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas such as Management, Commerce, Science, Law, Computer Applications and Hospitality. Popular programs include BBA, BCom, BSc, BA LLB, BCA, MBA, MCA, MCom and MA. The university is known for its case based learning approach, soft skill training, and robust industry academic partnerships that prepare students for real world challenges.

ICFAI Sikkim has earned notable rankings including fifth position in Hotel Management and fourteenth position in Law by the India Today MDRA Rankings 2024. Admission Process

Admission Process
The admission process at is designed to be smooth, transparent, and student-friendly. Candidates can apply through both online and offline modes.

Step 1 Application Submission
Visit the official admission portal or the university campus to fill out the application form with correct personal and academic details.

Step 2 Document Upload
Submit the required documents including mark sheets, ID proof, photographs, and category certificates (if applicable).

Step 3 Eligibility Verification
The university reviews the submitted documents and checks eligibility as per the programme requirements.

Step 4 Entrance or Merit Evaluation
Admissions are granted either on a merit basis or through entrance tests, depending on the course selected.

Step 5 Counselling and Seat Allotment
Shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling or interaction rounds, after which seats are allotted.

Step 6 Fee Payment and Confirmation
Pay the prescribed admission fee to confirm your seat. The offer is finalized only after fee submission.

Step 7 Enrollment and Orientation
Complete enrollment formalities and attend the orientation programme to begin your academic journey at university.

Minimum Requirements

Undergraduate (UG) Programs:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class XII) from a recognized board with at least 45–50% marks in relevant subjects.

Postgraduate (PG) Programs:
A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required.

Diploma Courses:
Applicants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.

Ph.D. Programs:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA).

For reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH), a relaxation of 5% is provided.
Applicants with UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / JRF qualifications are exempted from the university entrance test.

Age Limit:
No upper age limit; admissions are merit and qualification based.
