Established in 2011 under the Himachal Pradesh State Legislature, Bahra University (Shimla Hills) is a prestigious private university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). It is also a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Nestled in the serene Shimla Hills, the 25-acre campus offers a modern, multi-disciplinary environment with students from all across India and over 100 international learners—making it one of Himachal Pradesh’s most culturally diverse universities.

Admission Process

Admission to Bahra University is based on merit and entrance exams, depending on the course.
Students can apply online through the official university website by filling out the application form and uploading the required documents.
For B.Tech, candidates are shortlisted based on JEE Main or 10+2 marks.
MBA admissions are accepted through CAT, MAT, CMAT, or university-level entrance tests.
Ph.D. admissions are based on postgraduate merit and a personal interview conducted by the university.
Final admission is confirmed after document verification and fee payment.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

UG Courses: 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).

PG Courses: Graduation in the relevant discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Ph.D. Programs: Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

Candidates must also meet the specific eligibility criteria prescribed for individual programs such as B.Tech, MBA, MCA, and M.Pharm
