🎓 About Sardar Bhagwan Singh University
Established as the Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research in 1994, It was a pioneer in professional education, not just in Uttarakhand, but throughout the Northern Region. The institute was the first privately run institute to offer BPharm. It was granted the status of a university by the Uttarakhand Government through the Sardar Bhagwan Singh University Act, 2016 (Uttarakhand Act No. 12 of 2018). Established in 2018, the University currently ventures into a variety of fields such as commerce, agricultural sciences and forestry, management, biotechnology, basic sciences, medical lab technology and microbiology, keeping in mind the employment opportunities and aspirations of the young aspirants. The SBS University courses are offered at UG, PG and PhD levels. The university has 30 years of holistic and comprehensive education. It is governed by the Gaurav Bharti Shiksha Sansthan society. The Sardar Bhagwan Singh University fees for the courses offered range from Rs 1,86,000 to Rs 6,74,400 per year. Admission to these programmes is determined by the candidate's academic merit from their last qualifying examination from a recognised board or university. It seeks to provide an outstanding education to students from the Sikh Minority community, however, the Sardar Bhagwan Singh University course admissions are open to all students regardless of their category, caste, creed, or religion. The placement cell is heavily involved in both on-campus and off-campus placement drives for its students. Many national and multinational corporations come to recruit students. It places a strong emphasis on soft skill programmes to help students prepare for mock interviews, improve their communication skills, and develop their personalities as a whole. Companies like GSK, Cipla, Bisleri, Alembic, etc. hire students during the SBS University placements. It is one of the oldest educational establishments that provide high-quality education. In terms of academics, infrastructure, research activities, and campus facilities, the university has always strived to be the best in the region. The SBS University campus has a 20,000+ sq. mt. academic infrastructure. It is spread across 25 acres of land. Over 7,500 alumni are placed in various sectors all over India and abroad. 📋 Admission Process
Admission Process The admission process at is designed to be smooth, transparent, and student-friendly. Candidates can apply through both online and offline modes. Step 1 Application Submission Visit the official admission portal or the university campus to fill out the application form with correct personal and academic details. Step 2 Document Upload Submit the required documents including mark sheets, ID proof, photographs, and category certificates (if applicable). Step 3 Eligibility Verification The university reviews the submitted documents and checks eligibility as per the programme requirements. Step 4 Entrance or Merit Evaluation Admissions are granted either on a merit basis or through entrance tests, depending on the course selected. Step 5 Counselling and Seat Allotment Shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling or interaction rounds, after which seats are allotted. Step 6 Fee Payment and Confirmation Pay the prescribed admission fee to confirm your seat. The offer is finalized only after fee submission. Step 7 Enrollment and Orientation Complete enrollment formalities and attend the orientation programme to begin your academic journey at university.
✅ Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate (UG) Programs: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class XII) from a recognized board with at least 45–50% marks in relevant subjects. Postgraduate (PG) Programs: A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required. Diploma Courses: Applicants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board. Ph.D. Programs: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA). For reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH), a relaxation of 5% is provided. Applicants with UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / JRF qualifications are exempted from the university entrance test. Age Limit: No upper age limit; admissions are merit and qualification based.
