Oriental University, Indore, is a progressive private university established in 2011 with a clear focus on quality education, skill development, and research excellence. Recognized as the first self funded private university in Indore, the institution was founded under the aegis of the Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation and has since grown into a multidisciplinary center of higher learning in Madhya Pradesh.

The university campus, spread across approximately 77 acres, reflects modern academic architecture and infrastructure, designed by renowned M S Hafeez Contractors of Mumbai.
