Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University (MAHGU), Uttarakhand
Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University, popularly known as MAHGU, was established under the Government of Uttarakhand Act No. 33 of 2016 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The university is also approved by PCI, BCI, and holds AIU membership, making it a trusted name in higher education.

Admission Process

Admission is based on academic merit and entrance tests.
National entrance exams like CAT, MAT, JEE Main are accepted.
The university also conducts its own test, MAHGUEE, for specific courses.

Minimum Requirements

Here are the general minimum eligibility requirements for admission at MAHGU:
Diploma Programs: Pass in Class 10th from a recognized board.
Undergraduate Programs (UG): Pass in Class 12th (10+2) in relevant stream with minimum 45–50% marks (relaxation for reserved categories as per norms).
Postgraduate Programs (PG): Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks.
Doctoral Programs (PhD/M.Phil): Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and clearance of entrance test/interview.
