About the University Established in 2005 under the Lovely Professional University Act (Punjab Act 25 of 2005), LPU is located in Phagwara, Jalandhar, Punjab. Spread across 600 acres, the campus is home to more than 30,000 students and 4,000 faculty members from across India and over 3,000 international students representing 50+ countries. 📋 Admission Process
Admission to Lovely Professional University (LPU) is primarily based on the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). Candidates can apply online for Diploma, UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes through the official LPU website. For select courses, national-level exams like JEE Main, NEET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CLAT, CUET, GATE, and others are also accepted. For admission to Lovely Professional University (LPU), candidates must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements: Undergraduate (UG) Programmes: Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with the required subjects and minimum 50% aggregate marks (varies by course). Postgraduate (PG) Programmes: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50–55% aggregate marks from a recognized university. Ph.D. Programmes: Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade).
