About Us

The journey of Chirayu University began in 1992 with a humble 20 bed hospital and a powerful dream of transforming healthcare and education in Central India. Guided by the vision and determination of our founder Dr Ajay Goenka, this small beginning soon grew into one of the region’s most trusted and expansive healthcare and academic institutions.

Within just five years, the hospital evolved into a leading super specialty centre with 100 beds where the mission of delivering quality healthcare started taking firm shape. In 2004, a dedicated Cardiac Centre was established to offer advanced and compassionate cardiac care. The momentum continued and in 2007 we founded Chirayu Air Products which became a prominent manufacturer and supplier of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Acetylene Gas.

A landmark milestone arrived in 2010 with the establishment of Chirayu Medical College and Hospital. This premier institute today holds NABL and NABH accreditation and is an ISO certified teaching hospital with 800 beds. The commitment to medical education expanded further with the launch of Chirayu College of Nursing in 2012 and Chirayu Paramedical College in 2013.

To build a vibrant ecosystem of learning, research, innovation and service, Chirayu University Bhopal was founded by the Chirayu Charitable Foundation and officially recognised through a Government of Madhya Pradesh Act published in the State Gazette on 20 July 2023. The university is situated on more than 39 acres of land and is approved by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

With more than sixteen years of academic legacy through Chirayu Medical College and Hospital, the university today offers a wide selection of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma programmes. These programs span areas such as Hospital Administration, Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, Management and various medical domains. Our flagship offerings include MBBS and BPT.
