🎓 About Sikkim International University
Sikkim University is a central university established in 2007 under an Act of Parliament of India. It is located in Gangtok and is recognised by UGC. Sikkim University has 10 affiliated colleges located in Sikkim. These colleges include institutions such as Damber Singh College, Government College Rhenock, and Namchi Government College, among others. The university also has a permanent campus at Yangang in the Namchi district. SU has collaborations with different institutions and organisations, including CABI E-UK, NIAISTBR, and the Indian Army for skill development. The university offers courses at the UG, PG and PG Diploma, PhD, and online levels. Popular courses at Sikkim University include BA, BPA, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, and MCA. Sikkim University admission is both entrance and merit-based. Further for admission UG programmes students are required to apply and appear for the entrance exams accepted by university such as CUET or any state-level entrance test or national-level entrance test. The placement drive for the 2024 season at Central Agricultural University has ended, but the placement report is still pending.However, the NIRF report for 2025 has been published. A total of 189 students achieved placements during Central Agricultural University placements 2024. Out of which, 56 belonged to UG 4-year. From UG 5-year the number of students placed was 30, and the other 103 belonged to PG 2-year program. Check the table presented below:

📋 Admission Process
Admission Process The admission process at is designed to be smooth, transparent, and student-friendly. Candidates can apply through both online and offline modes. Step 1 Application Submission Visit the official admission portal or the university campus to fill out the application form with correct personal and academic details. Step 2 Document Upload Submit the required documents including mark sheets, ID proof, photographs, and category certificates (if applicable). Step 3 Eligibility Verification The university reviews the submitted documents and checks eligibility as per the programme requirements. Step 4 Entrance or Merit Evaluation Admissions are granted either on a merit basis or through entrance tests, depending on the course selected. Step 5 Counselling and Seat Allotment Shortlisted candidates are invited for counselling or interaction rounds, after which seats are allotted. Step 6 Fee Payment and Confirmation Pay the prescribed admission fee to confirm your seat. The offer is finalized only after fee submission. Step 7 Enrollment and Orientation Complete enrollment formalities and attend the orientation programme to begin your academic journey at university.
✅ Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate (UG) Programs: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class XII) from a recognized board with at least 45–50% marks in relevant subjects. Postgraduate (PG) Programs: A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required. Diploma Courses: Applicants should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board. Ph.D. Programs: Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA). For reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH), a relaxation of 5% is provided. Applicants with UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / JRF qualifications are exempted from the university entrance test. Age Limit: No upper age limit; admissions are merit and qualification based.
