About Us Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (MAJU), Rampur, was established in 2006 through an Act of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature. Located about 12 kilometers from Rampur Railway Station, the University stands as a vibrant center of learning committed to academic excellence, social responsibility, and holistic development. Spread across a sprawling campus of over 250 acres, MAJU offers a serene and inspiring academic environment. Lush green landscapes, eco-friendly surroundings, and a vast natural water body enrich the campus bio-aesthetics, supporting rich floral and faunal diversity. The University’s ultra-modern infrastructure, thoughtfully designed by eminent architects, blends functionality with elegance, creating a peaceful atmosphere that nurtures focused learning and personal growth. MAJU offers a wide range of programs across Science, Humanities, Law, Education, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, Paramedical Sciences (including Nursing), Mass Communication, and Agriculture, with preparations underway to expand into medical education through the proposed Jauhar Institute of Medical Sciences (JIMS). A state-of-the-art gymnasium, indoor sports facilities (badminton, chess, carrom, table tennis), and extensive outdoor sports options such as football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, lawn tennis, horse riding, athletics, and more are integral parts of campus life.
